BRASILIA, BRAZIL - Media OutReach - 17 December 2015 - The new generation of younger consumers generally has a strong sense of sustainability and they are extorting its influence to influence various product trends. They want less wasteful packaging and demand packages that are smarter, convenient to use, more appealing and personalized. The pass of National Solid Waste Policy Bill in Brazil in 2010, which has imposed the broad packaging requirements to manufacturers and sellers alike, have prompted many firms to rethink their packaging and go-to-market strategies of their products.

Asia no. 1 and the world's no. 2 plastics and rubber industries trade fair will be the answer. The annual show, which houses over 3,800 sets of machinery and over 1,000 chemical and raw materials suppliers, will have plentiful to offer to Brazilian visitors, from energy-efficient and eco-friendly manufacturing solutions and materials, to the solutions for plastic packaging and its waste management.

Sustainable packaging can be achieved through using less packaging, reduction the packaging weight, reusing and recycling of packaging wastes. Biodegradable plastics such as BASF's ecovio® and Grabio's 100% biodegradable/compostable starch plastics are both ideal materials to be widely used in organic waste bags, shopping bags and agricultural mulch films.

The plastic products being produced in the more energy and material efficient manners resulting in less carbon emission footprint is another way. JANDI's new plastic bag making line JIT-SS is a fully integrated production line which combines film extrusion, printing, bag making, die-cut and materials recovery in one place to achieve big cost and materials savings. Ruian Aoxiang Packing Machinery will also debut its all-new three-layer co-extrusion film blowing machine at CHINAPLAS 2016, which employs fully automatic testing, tension controller and ultrasonic correction devices, along with other features to achieve higher output and lower energy consumption.

Visitors will also find numerous practical yet state-of-the-art waste recycling solutions offered by global recycling specialists at the new "Recycling Technology Zone".

CHINAPLAS has been supported by many Brazilian's corporations and associations in the past such as Agco Corp South American, Association of Brazilian Beef Exporters, Abicalcados Brazilian-Footwear Industry Association, Brazilian Electrical & Electronics Industry Association, BRF, Globalbev, GT Foods Group, JBS, Marfrig Group, Scania Latin America, Volkswagen Brazil are among our visitors. CHINAPLAS 2016 will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Pudong, PR China on 25-28 April 2016. www.ChinaplasOnline.com
