Santa Fe, NM landmark dining institution Zia Diner is presenting local jazz manouche - gypsy jazz band Swing Soleil, twice during June 2015. The first appearance is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday June 11, 2015 and the second appearance is 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday June 25, 2015. For those that don't know jazz manouche is a style of music made famous and said to have been started by famous guitarist Django Reinhardt, hailing from Paris, France, during the 1930's. The music is also known as 'hot club jazz' or 'gypsy jazz'. For people looking for a fun time with some cool music from a bygone era the two nights offered by Zia Diner when Swing Soleil plays are a perfect choice. The band is good and it shows very evidently because of its fine musicianship and master of the gypsy jazz standards it plays when at the Zia Diner.
