FREE Money LIVE Teen Financial Event Scheduled for June 20th at the NRG Center!

The MoneyLIVE 2015 event will help high school through college age students become Financially Responsible!

(April 27, 2015- Houston, TX) Alliance Financial Ministries, Inc presents the  MoneyLIVE event  sponsored by Wells Fargo, H-E-B, Capital One, and DOW. The event will take place on June 20th from 9am until 2pm and is located at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The lessons learned during this event will last a lifetime; students are allowed to make financial mistakes - and suffer the consequences of their decisions- in a realistic, environment.

MoneyLIVE’s one-day event gives high school and college students an opportunity to learn about careers. First, students learn about career opportunities linked to engineering, science and other areas from individuals in those careers. Next, students visit ten different stations and make real life decisions that will influence them when they start their careers. The lessons learned during this simulation allow students to see a correlation between lifestyle and career choices. Students also learn how to budget their earnings to afford their desired lifestyles.

A light breakfast and Lunch will be served. This event is FREE but does require REGISTRATION. To get more information or to register visit www.moneylive.org

“The goal is to teach tomorrow’s spenders about financial responsibility today. We live in a 24/7 culture where social media has almost conditioned us to expect immediate results. Impulse buying seems to correspond with social media trends. “The power of saving money has been lost in a society of instant gratification! The goal of our program is to teach tomorrow’s spender’s financial literacy today. MoneyLIVE is designed to make the connection between career, income and potential lifestyle.” Finished  Mr. Mathews.

Door prizes and financial literacy tools will be available to families throughout the day. Members of the media will have a special catered pressroom to engage with sponsors and conduct participant interviews.
