Sundays at Jax put the spotlight on local, aspiring Jazz musicians and feature a special menu of New Orleans-inspired dishes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 8, 2015) –Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar kicks off JazzFest Sundays on Sunday, May 17 from 2 p.m. – close to celebrate the music that put Kansas City on the map, while also fostering up-and-coming local musicians. JazzFest Sundays will run every Sunday, opening two hours earlier at 2 p.m., and feature live music from local, aspiring Jazz musicians, a special creole menu and an extended happy hour.

Matthew Hopper will take the stage for the first JazzFest on Sunday, May 17, followed by Hermon Mehari on May 24 and May 31. Future JazzFest musicians will be announced at jaxkc.com.

In addition to the regular happy hour and dinner menus, Jax will offer a special JazzFest menu, inspired by creole cooking, 25 percent off all bottles of wine, and half-price King Crab. Sazerac and Hurricanes will be specially priced at $6 per drink. Sunday happy hour is also extended by two hours, now running from 2 - 6 p.m.
