LA Restaurant Offers “Friendsgiving” Feast Inspired By America’s Favorite Sitcom

LOS ANGELES – September 28, 2015 – TART restaurant, nestled inside the iconic Farmer’s Daughter Hotel in the historic Fairfax District in L.A., has created an unforgettable twist on Thanksgiving offering all those in LA on the big day to dine with their crew for the ultimate “Friendsgiving” feast.

“Friendsgiving” is the newest way to enjoy the season with your nearest and dearest — where guests do the gobbling, and TART does the dishes! And it wouldn’t be true friendship without a throwback to the famous sitcom that taught us so much about Thanksgiving.

To celebrate TART’s executive chef, Keith Shutta, has brought back six of our favorite friends to inspire the merry meal this year.

The one who’s a daddy’s girl – For the traditional Thanksgiving taste this entrée includes roasted turkey roulade with gravy cornbread stuffing, candied yams, black-eyed peas, cranberry sauce and TART’s famous biscuit

The one who doesn’t eat meat – Veggie and rice stuffed cabbage with an herbed liquor sauce and buttered green peas for a light, festive bite

The one who doesn’t share food – A selection of chicken and turkey with all the sides make up this an epic entrée

The one who hates Thanksgiving – TART burger with blue cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, mustard aioli and fries and a side salad

And for dessert: The one who used to be fat – Warm holiday fruit pan purdue, with vanilla ice cream and stewed cranberries

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten the leftovers – Once the meal is over and the memories are made, diners can take their trimmings home because TART will fix a to-go gourmet turkey and cranberry sandwich for traditional next day indulgence. This day-after delight is a cold turkey sandwich with stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo, served on a baguette with a side of gravy. We call it “the moist-maker.”

TART has also created a fruity punch with a festive kick perfect for sharing with your closest companions.

Friendsgiving dinner is available from November 15 to November 27, 12pm to 10pm daily. So if you’re a day late or three weeks early, TART has got your back… and your turkey sandwich! Reserve a cozy cabana on the patio, warmed by fire pits, for an unforgettable celebration. To make a reservation, please visit www.tartrestaurant.com. Booking in advance is advised.

The meal is a friendly $35 per head so there’ll be no bill splitting issues. Dinner includes a choice of entrée, dessert and a take away turkey sub for each Friendsgiving guest.

If it’s the no frills that’s your fill, the Turkey sandwich can be purchased at TART to eat in or made to order to pick up at the restaurant for $12 each.
