HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 7 February 2018 -  In light of the recent flu outbreak and this morning's urgent government suspension of all primary schools and kindergartens, HKBN Group ("HKBN") is encouraging its Talents, starting tomorrow (8 February) until Chinese New Year Eve (15 February), to consider working from home. This measure will give Talents greater work arrangement flexibility to care for their children and families. The Group is also advising Talents who feel unwell to rest at home as a precautionary move to prevent further spread of the disease.

To work from home, HKBN Talents need only obtain approval from their respective supervisors. HKBN Head of Talent Engagement & Corporate Social Investment and Co-Owner CY Chan said, "This arrangement to provide more work flexibility reflects our commitment to LIFE-work priority. We want our Talents to prioritise on family and life, and in doing so, they come to work more motivated to contribute, which creates a mutually beneficial workplace. HKBN measures performance based on results, rather than how many hours worked or where our Talents work from. We believe Talents will make a sound decision to use this arrangement based on their needs; our Co-Ownership culture empowers us with this level of trust."

Maintaining its implementation of the 'Mobile Office' arrangement, HKBN allows Talents to work from home according to their needs, which is just one of many examples of how the Group has spearheaded various Talent-friendly initiatives to provide a much better working environment.
