HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 30 August 2017 - Deloitte China hosted yesterday a cocktail reception at its Admiralty Hong Kong office in celebration of the firm's centenary milestone in the China marketplace. Nearly 350 guests from the government and business community joined the firm to witness this significant moment, including The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and The Hon Dr Tan Tie-Niu, Vice Minister of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR.

 

In his opening speech, Patrick Tsang, CEO of Deloitte China, recounted on the China firm's impact in the past century, with a special focus on the role that the Hong Kong practice has played in assisting the globalization of Chinese Mainland enterprises, as well as its support to China's key strategic policies, such as the Belt and Road Initiative, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area Initiative and RMB internationalization. The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-Ngor, Chief Executive of HKSAR, then delivered her speech, congratulating Deloitte China on making one hundred years of impact.
