Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) Makes Key Senior Management Appointment – Philip Chiu as Head of Global Corporate Division

HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 19 Aug 2016 - Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Chiu as the Head of our Global Corporate Division, following his post as Head of Financial Lines in Asia. In his role, he will directly report to Keith Thomas, CEO Global Corporate APAC, with a matrix reporting line into Eric Hui, CEO, Hong Kong.

Since his association with Zurich in 2014, Philip's role has excelled beyond underwriting, successfully targeting the new International Programs business to Hong Kong. This led to his swift promotion as the Head of Financial Lines where he grew the corporate insurance business. Under his new scope, Philip hopes to expand upon Zurich's existing product offering and propositions, with the view to provide customer-focused protection with innovative product solutions.

With a rich background in underwriting and business development spanning 20 years, Philip's prolific insurance career started with AIG, where he served for 10 years. This was followed by creating DUAL Asia, a start-up underwriting agency operation where he established strategic partnerships with MSIG throughout Asia.
