Leading Chinese Internet Game and Sports Companies Establish “Allied eSports”

BEIJING, CHINA - Media OutReach - Mar 23, 2016 - On March 23, Ourgame, a leading operator of mind sports, and Wangyu Internet Café, a leading global Internet café brand have led a group of four other enterprises to establish Allied eSports. Together with four other top companies, namely 360, KongZhong, Ourpalm and Beijing iRena, Allied eSports aims to develop a world-class e-sports competition platform based on a model of "Game Content + Live Experience". By integrating the top e-sports intellectual property and a world-wide network of e-sports arenas, Allied eSports has its sights set on becoming a global player and presence in the e-sports industry.

The participating companies in Allied eSports will collaborate and optimize their collective resources:
- Ourgame has in-depth experience in mind sports with worldwide event execution capabilities. In addition, it plans to leverage the high quality content production and global content distribution footprint of the WPT Studios as part of its ownership of the World Poker Tour.
- 360 Group and its game development business includes client-based games, web browser-based games and mobile games. Its game distribution platform is the leader in the industry in China.
- Ourpalm is the third largest mobile game content provider in China and its "MU Miracle" recorded revenues of over RMB 4 billion worldwide.
- KongZhong is the exclusive operator of "World of Tanks", "World of Warplanes" and "World of Warships" in China and specializes in the operation of battle games.
- Beijing iRena is regarded as the number one integrated operation platform in China's sports industry. It has built a comprehensive industry chain covering events, arenas, sports fans, derivative products and services.
- Wangyu Internet Café is the leader in the Internet café industry in China and owns and operates 491 cafes.
"Game Content + Live Experience":An Innovative Model
The "Game Content + Live Experience" model combines the top intellectual property (IP) content provided by China's leading game developers together with an elevated offline arena experience. Multiple parties outside China have expressed an interest in cooperating around this model and utilizing the combined assets and experience of the companies that make up Allied eSports.
The e-sports industry has become increasingly prominent globally. According to a research study conducted by market research company Frank N. Magid Associates, the e-sports audience in the US has doubled in size in the past two years. Elsewhere around the world, e-sports has undergone continuous growth.
