Goodman’s Fifth Annual Interlink Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run Raises Over HK$1 Million for Feeding Hong Kong

HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 6 March 2016 - Goodman Group (Goodman or Group), the global integrated property group which owns, develops and manages industrial space, today raised over HK$1 million for Feeding Hong Kong at its fifth annual Goodman Interlink Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run. The funds raised this year will again be donated to Feeding Hong Kong, the first food bank in Hong Kong dedicated to redistributing surplus food to people in need.

This morning, at Goodman Interlink, a landmark warehouse and distribution property located in Hong Kong's Tsing Yi port district, runners and cheering spectators lined up to take part in the fifth annual Goodman Interlink Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run. A total of 388 participants, including Goodman staff, customers, business partners and their families, took part in this unique race to the top of Goodman Interlink's 15-floor truck cargo ramp.
Last year, Goodman raised HK$1 million for Feeding Hong Kong to purchase a customised food truck and cover its operating costs. This year, the over HK$1 million raised will enable Feeding Hong Kong to provide 200,000 meals to be served to local families in need.
Mr. Philip Pearce, Goodman's Managing Director, Greater China, said, "We are very pleased to be holding this event for the fifth time and supporting such a worthy cause. We hope that the HK$1 million raised will go a long way to enabling Feeding Hong Kong to provide basic nutrition to local families in need."
Mr Pearce added, "None of this would have been possible without the generosity of all the sponsors, many whom have been supporting our Magic Mile Charity Ramp Run over the past few years, as well as the runners and teams for their generous donations and enthusiastic participation in the race."
