ASIA APPAREL EXPO - The Important European Trade Expo for Asian Apparel Sourcing, Opens in February 2016

HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 19 January 2016 - For its fifth edition, ASIA APPAREL EXPO returns to Berlin from Wednesday 24 through to Friday 26 February, 2016.

250 companies are participating in the 2016 expo, not only from HONG KONG and CHINA, but the other major Asian apparel export producing countries of BANGLADESH, PAKISTAN, MYNAMAR, THAILAND and INDIA, plus Cyprus, Belgium and Poland. The expo is designed to meet the demand from European customers for finished garments, contract manufacturing and private label development. Apparel products on show cover mens, womens and childrenswear, sportswear and workwear, fabrics and textiles, as well as trimmings and accessories from the carefully-selected factories.

For the fourth edition in February 2015, over 1,500 trade professionals attended, many of whom repeated their visits over the three days, reinforcing that the well-edited selection and variety of factories and suppliers together in Berlin is a convenient sourcing centre for apparel buyers.

THE ECOCHIC DESIGN AWARD EXHIBITION will also take place at the expo during February 24-26, 2016 .The exhibition display will include ten mannequins outfitted with recent sustainable designs from THE ECOCHIC DESIGN AWARD. THE ECOCHIC DESIGN AWARD is the world's largest sustainable fashion design competition, organised by environmental NGO Redress. The goal of the competition is to inspire emerging fashion designers and students from Asia and Europe to create high fashion pieces with minimal waste, utilizing the zero-waste, up-cycling and reconstruction design techniques. With an increased number of visitors registering to attend and a balanced mix of experienced and professional apparel companies participating, it is expected that ASIA APPAREL EXPO will continue to expand its role in providing European buyers with the opportunity to meet with potential new suppliers and learn of the most up to date sourcing and production information from Asia.
