中国香港 - Media OutReach - 2018年11月30日 - 今年的"Vibram® 香港100"获世界越野跑巡回赛（UTWT）升格为 Series级别赛，令其跻身为全球八个最享负盛名的世界越野跑比赛之一。"Vibram® 香港100"更是全亚洲唯一能成为Series级别赛的赛事，对希望在UTWT中争取高排名的运动员而言更具吸引力。

 

第九届"Vibram® 香港100"将于2019年1月19日和20日举行。这项比赛于2011年首次举行，并迅速发展为全球越野跑界中最受欢迎的赛事之一，吸引来自60多个国家逾7,000名选手申请，争夺1,800个参赛名额。值得留意的是，香港于今年一月举办UTWT 2017颁奖典礼，也是UTWT首次在欧洲以外的地方举办颁奖典礼。

"Vibram® 香港100"赛事总监Janet Ng表示："赛事升格是对香港越野长跑界以及各机构与团体付出的努力，予以重大肯定。这项成就有赖香港越野长跑界的大力支持，加上各赞助机构、相关政府部门与团体，包括渔农自然护理署、香港圣约翰救伤队、各紧急救护部队和香港旅游发展局，以及约1,000名义工的支持和协助。我十分高兴看到各方的努力和热诚得到认可，同时非常期待明年一月在香港举行的比赛。"

 

香港旅游发展局（旅发局）总干事刘镇汉表示："旅发局非常支持这项精彩刺激的体坛盛事。旅发局一直致力推广香港多元的旅游体验，当中包括各式各样的体育及户外活动，希望让旅客感受到香港充满活力和动感的一面。是次赛事路线以香港著名的麦理浩径为主，参加者沿途可饱览香港风光如画的景致，由青翠的山峦、人迹罕至的海滩、本地特色的动植物、壮丽的水塘、以至全香港最高的山峰──大帽山。我衷心希望所有参赛者和旅客好好享受比赛，同时感受香港迷人的自然景致。"
