Amanda started working at the Spa of the Rockies when it first opened its doors in the fall of 2008. Just as the Spa of the Rockies has evolved over the years to become an award-winning wellness destination, Amanda continues to perfect and refine her craft as an aesthetician by caring for the individual needs of her clients and through her devotion to ongoing education. As a trained aesthetician Amanda specializes in skin care, specializing in facials, hair removal and waxing treatments. In an industry that is regularly making breakthroughs in treatments, keeping up with the latest developments is a high priority for Amanda. “I am constantly learning new facial massage techniques and the Spa of the Rockies provides many opportunities to learn about state-of-the-art products and technologies,” she said. Amanda has cultivated a faithful following especially for her facials and body waxing services.  “I love making guests feel pampered and it satisfies me how relaxed and happy they are when they leave. Making someone feel better makes me feel my best,” said Amanda. Amanda’s two favorite Spa of the Rockies treatments include the Hydrafacial and Ultimate Age Defying Facial. The Hydrafacial uses a non-invasive medical-grade technology that resurfaces and rehydrates skin at the same time. The result is skin that looks smooth and refreshed. Her other recommended treatment is the Ultimate Age Defying Facial which uses oxygen to infuse the skin with peptides and hyaluronic acid to bind moisture to skin and plump fine lines and wrinkles. This is followed by red LED light to speed up collagen production and reduce the appearance of sun damage. In May, Amanda is marrying the love of her life. A 2004 graduate of Glenwood Beauty Academy, Glenwood Springs, Colo., she is a licensed manicurist with 350 hours; a cosmetician (esthetics) with 550 hours plus 14 hours of microdermabrasion training, and is certified to administer Hydrafacial treatments. To find out more and book a spa treatment today, please visit www.spaoftherockies.com.
