HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 1 September 2017 - Affluent Partners Holdings Limited ("the Company" or "Affluent Partners", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group", HKSE stock code: 1466) is pleased to announce that the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (the "MOU") with Wonderland (UK) Holdings Limited ("Wonderland"), a renowned real estate agency in England, in relation to the possible subscription of convertible bonds to be issued by Wonderland. The face value of the convertible bonds will be GBP 3.5 million (approximately HKD 35.44 million) with 6% interest per annum and a tenure of 3 years.
Wonderland (UK) Holdings Limited is the exclusive licensee of a renowned real estate agency in England, and is principally engaged in the operation of realty agency business in England.
Mr. Archambaud-Chao Percy Henry Junior , Executive Director of the Group, said, "Realty market in England has become one of the most attractive property investment markets with stable and high return, given the weak currency of British pound. More capital has been flowing into the market and is driving up the number and amount of transaction. This represents a good opportunity for the Group to diversify its income base and maximise shareholders' return."
Prior to joining Affluent Partners, Mr. Chao has been involved in the real estate industry since 2009, he has experience in both Hong Kong and United Kingdom real estate markets where he has facilitated local and overseas property investments. Mr. Chao is currently mainly engaged in real estate related investment activities for the group.
