COOLANGATTA  18th February, 2015  Milwaukee Tools and Surfing Australia will be generating ‘shockwaves’ across the next year, extending their partnership today with a one-year deal.

Under the partnership, Milwaukee will continue as a major corporate partner of Surfing Australia.

The sponsorship will primarily include a digital series integrating tradesmen who surf, which will deliver high quality, engaging content.

The Milwaukee ‘Power Surf-Men’ will be a bi-monthly, 3–4 minute segment profiling professional builders, plumbers and electricians who surf while utilising Milwaukee’s heavy-duty, portable electric power tools and accessories.

Milwaukee’s Brand Manager Tom Mathiesen said the partnership with Surfing Australia targeted professional tool users who surf.

“This new segment is perfect to profile our core users and gain some important insights as to what keeps them motivated both on and off the tools. We are looking forward to another great year in partnership with Surfing Australia.”

Surfing Australia CEO Andrew Stark said: “We are very excited to continue our partnership with Milwaukee Tools. They are a great fit partner and share in our values and we look forward to a fantastic year ahead with them.”

Milwaukee will become a support sponsor of series three of the Original Source Australian Boardriders Battle in Summer 2015/16. The prestigious event is the country’s biggest grassroots, boardriders event series.

The sponsorship also includes naming rights to a social media competition, the Milwaukee ‘Heavy Duty Hack’. The social media promotion is all about capturing the biggest and best power moves that surfing offers.
